The Holy Chicken House

I am a new member and would like to share a picture that is worth a 1000 words. I was building a new chicken house for about 50 chickens. Stopped working on it to mow the lawn. And in the picture I'll post you'll see what I saw as I came towards the chicken house. A sign or what??????

Presently a variety purchased from local farmers. Have 25 Australorp coming in January. My ultimate goal is to have about 30 Light Sussex but, they are hard to find.

We have some Australorps and speckled Sussex as well as a handful of other breeds. Love them. Australorps are very good egg layers of large brown eggs. Good luck with your chickens. If you need any advice, let us know.

That's so cool! We hung a cross in our coop above the door, and we're going to have our pastor bless it, too. It'll keep those deviled eggs away.

Shhh, me too. But only when I make them. Chickens laying pre-deviled eggs would be weird. What if they use too much paprika???
