It used to be that aol had a tutor program whereby teachers could help students. I used to do a lot of it but, since I no longer get IM's on the topic(HS math), I guess they've stopped. Probably predators getting to know kids or something similar. At any rate I enjoyed working with some of the kids, even had one intercity gal that I managed to get through to college level calc who went on to med school, but found a lot of kids didn't get on there to learn but to have someone do their homework for them. They didn't last too long since my technique is to get them to do the work--lazy kids didn't want to stick around for that.

I'm happy to help with all language related topics and even chemistry (which I suck at, but am EPICALLY improved at now that I passed Organic!) But I really, really really need the math help, because if I can't get through it, I get booted from my major despite all the other "A"s.

I'll be taking you up on that. I managed to get through Gen Chem 1 and 2 with one of the smartest, craziest teachers I've ever met, one who was in love with word problems which made you "think outside the box"...but...Chem teachers are a little more accepting of mathematical errors (as long as you have mostly the right idea) than math teachers tend to be.

(Luckily for me, Organic chemistry is *not* about numbers)

In any case, I start Trig on Tuesday, so I'd be glad for all the help I can get. It's going to take a lot of hours that I don't have in the Math lab to get through Trig and calculus!
