And flight training was going on. The figure 8 was very obvious. The flight training was at the other hive.

This is the capped brood I found in the new hive!

I’m hoping this is not the start of another Queen cell. It is the only one I saw. They still have lots of room to expand! They have like 6 frames either with just wax or drawn out but nothing else going on. They have a frame and a half of honey and / frames of mixed brood and honey with a bit of pollen.

Maybe one of the girls just wanted to practice making a queen cell. Or it’s a just in case cell.

im a bit behind on BYC bees... but I think you have a ‘queen cup’...

My neighbor Joe has five of every part, fitting, hardware.... because his dad had two of everything, and Joe had everything, then Joe went to auctions ... but Joe’s son will end up with eight of everything.....

Bees are like that... they like to have five queen cups collecting dust in a rusty coffee can just in case the creeks rise and they can’t get to the ‘gettin place’ on Saturday 😉

Sounds like my husband with pliers and tire gauges. Apparently you need to buy them every other week.

My pliers are off limits to him, and sitting quite nicely in my own tool box with my other tools. :plbb
I hide my special tools so I'll know where to find them when I need them. DH is not concerned about where he has put a tool until he wants it again, then cover the little ones' ears! :lau He thinks he has a system. He may, but it doesn't work very well for him. 🤦‍♀️

Probably works as good as my system works. If I can remember where I last used something, it is easy to find unless something else got put on top of it.
