My brown recluse scar flares up occasionally and gets sore…..have you experienced anything like that?

Yes I have. Feels like a friction burn.
Dr said it may do this from time to time. Leather gloves rubbing make it sore too. Now I use canvas gloves unless I need the leather for protection.

Turkeys are done for me. Settled for a jake. He came in to the call so nice I couldn't resist. Mowing season is here (and other outdoor work), so I guess it's good that I'm done in that way. Now, I just have to learn to sleep past 4:30.

Planning on making fly lures this summer. We have a brook on our property, which has a lot of fish, so fingers and toes crossed that there will be dinner!

I've been fishing my whole life but I just started fly fishing and tying my own flies a few years ago. I really enjoy doing both. I fish saltwater primarily and I wanted to tie some flies that imitates pilchards and glass minnows for catching speckled trout on dock lights at night. I've tied up several variations and they all have worked quite well.

Had a good day fishing yesterday. Sunfish are spawning here. Easy, fun and tasty. Enough for a meal and some for the freezer.

just got back from bear hunting, did not get a bear, but did see a few wolves which was awesome.

Went fishing again yesterday. Same lake bank fishing. Fewer fish this time. Tried another lake that has been good in the past. No keepers. It seems every bank fishing spot the spawning beds are fished out. Not just picked over. Crossing that lake off my list of places to go.
