ah the good old zebco 33, i got one or two of them seem like nice reels. one of mine i found or caught on the bottom of a lake. was not down there too long still in okay condition have to repair it one of these days.
 
Made a quick run to the gas station and on my way home I watched about 2 dozen turkeys cross the road running into my property. A good bit of them looked only half grown. Started to take a pic or video but had left my phone sitting in my shop.

I don't like hunting 'em because I don't like eating them but my brother does.

i don’t do spring turkey much because of ticks but always try in the fall!! to me there’s not much better eating than wild turkey....maybe my homegrown bb?? we even keep thighs and legs for white chili vs breasts only!!!

The idiot they put in charge took away our fall season claiming it would increase the population back in 2009. It didn't (big surprise). What ya get when you have people that get jobs based on their bank account and not their expertise. Our whole game management has been a joke. The wild turkey and quail population has been in a heavy decline to the point they are begging people on FB to report all sightings. Every hunter is keeping tight lipped because we don't want them in the area ruining things even more. They passed a 3 point rule for deer to increase antler size. So far all that has resulted in dominate spike population passing those genes down. Their solution to that was to increase the amounts of does we can take in a season.

I don't hunt any birds, don't like eating them (including chickens). I fill my freezer with just about anything else that walks or swims.

we’ve got some pretty crazy stuff here to....turkey is limited to 1 bird per hunter per season, and with deer we have a 1 buck rule over all seasons and buck is any antler over 4” i’m not very good at bird hunting (lack of practice, i guess) but i eat basically anything/everything to avoid commercial meat so if i can’t hunt it, I grow it!! (with birds at least). they really messed up the deer hunting here when they expanded equipment to include high powered rifles 🤬🤬🤬🤬 it was limited to slug, 44 mag, and 50 cal
