nice to see another Canadian hunter here.Just clicking around trying to learn about chickens, (our 8 RIR pullets should be arriving this Friday), and stumbled onto this thread.
It looks a little shy on the hunting side, so I thought I would try to help with some random photos.
Spring turkey season starts April 25th, so we're getting geared up for that now. Here's last year's bird, typical tom, around 19lbs. Aside from the meat, I made a wing bone call and a folding fan decoy. Waste not want not.

Fall is deer season. I usually bow hunt around my place and muzzleloader hunt with a group about an hour away. This year I somehow managed to screw up my muzzleloader tag application and couldn't hunt that week, so it was bow only this year. On the second last day of the season things finally came together. I'm embarrassed to say how many hours I sat in a tree this fall!
Aside from a full freezer, I did a European mount and included the snapped crossbow bolt that sealed the deal on an old hunk of wood I had.

The same group I hunt deer with hunts coyotes all winter. We track ourselves, no dogs, and try our best to outsmart them. Sometimes it works. This year we finished up with 25. The fur goes to auction.View attachment 2615718View attachment 2615727
