I'm trying to work my way up to 60#

I think I'm about 40# right now
It is my first year bow hunting and I'm going elk hunting so I need quite a punch

Nice! We need details here! Gun or bow? Range? Conditions? Time? I've had to skip hunting this year, so I'm gonna need you to weave this into a magical story I can picture in my head.

Here's last year's for me, I'm sure it's posted on here somewhere else. Shot with a crossbow 5 minutes before legal light ended. The bolt didn't go through, but a few inches snapped off. All I was left with was the broken PC and some hair, so I left him for the night and wouldn't you know it, we got 2 inches of snow over night. He was with a group of 6, but when one broke away from the group when they jumped a log, I took that track figuring he was too sick to jump. I found him shortly after, he probably only went 125 yards, but it was fairly thick cedars.

One of my favorite winter activities is coyote hunting with a group of friends. We also muzzleloader hunt deer together. I could post coyote pics for days...

nice! if you don't mind me asking some questions.
what gun and caliber to you use? my friend uses a 22-250 and that can leave a good size hole.
