Yesssss. Lost many a good soldier during the battles. But I prevailed.
My official weighed largemouth, 4.71lbs and a eel that never entered the boat, lol. Even though they are the most delicious tasting "fish" you could ask for.

Home again…. Only fished about an hour in Wisconsin. I caught one something almost but he got off before I could see him. But I know he was pushing a world record.

Otherwise, my time was spent playing with the grandkids, mainly in the water. 96 degrees here today, too hot for Northern Bloods.

I spend a lot of time with my family, too. Ever since my wife and I retired, our dream has been to move out of town.

This was the average fish we caught this week.

Our largest was over 11”
We caught a limit of crappies and Sunnies. A few of the crappies were over 12”, nothing was under 10”.

Poor fishing all summer at the cabin . Nephew has a 50 K boat with 5 K of electronics . Livescope the works . 2 of us 2 hours 4 keepers . Crappie fishing has been crappy . Out this morning 3 of us for 2 1/2 hours = 6 fish . I caught 0 . Even bullheads are scarce . A hour at night off the dock = 2-3 . MN residents do not usually eat bullheads .

I'm not geeked at age 80 + , whatever that word means , but i suspect my grandson is . He hunts with my 700 Rem. .243 i purchased in 1965 for $113.00 .
