I put them under my broody serama. She's going to be surprised by tomorrow when those two eggs have turned into a bunch of chicks.

It looks like this chick is posing for a playboy magazine or something....sprawled out on its back, head turned to the side.....
I also vote male. That comb is HUGE!

2 more chicks hatched overnight and another late morning. It's a very drawn out hatch.

#5 just joined mama

It has a tiny bit of brown by eye on one side. (Normally those "eyebrows" are yellow and disappear as they loose the chick fluff.)

BTW- @homeschoolin momma This one also came from the speckled egg which I thought was Darling's. I'm now wondering if perhaps they were Smudge's or a laced orp's. (The only way they could be Darling's is if she only let Mr Wonderful breed her.)
Smudge would have a 50% chance of being lav. A laced orp hen with my lav roo could make black offspring.

My 'April Fool's Day' prank is coming along nicely. So far the serama thinks she hatched 7 orpington chicks from 2 eggs.

My serama hen was up to 12 chicks, I gave 2 away, and now there's more peeping coming from the incubator. I can't even spot a pip but there's obviously something alive in there. Boy has this hatch been drawn out! I wouldn't be too surprised if one hatches tomorrow.

Meanwhile I traded those 2 chicks for some quail & turkey eggs. Time to try out my new 360' incubator!!!!
