The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Pardon me for changing the subject a little, but can
some one tell me how to pronounce Crele? Is the E
long like CREEL or short like CRELL, or a combination
of the two like CREELEY or CRELLY?
It is pronounced Crele rhymes with gel. Short e. But like many words borrowed from other languages, it is open to interpretation.😊

Good question.
I've always said it like Cree -ol (long e; ol sounds like old minus the d)
Of course I don't breed them so have no reason to say it. LOL

Well. I'll ask what maybe a stupid question, but I'm a newbie
and just have one hatchery BO that to me is kind of boring looking
Had 2, but just sold one. I've gotten interested in the English and plan to add some to my flock. I can't have roos, so they'll be no breeding.
I'm fortunate to live an hours drive from CRC, and Wellford, and 3
hours from Greenland Farms. I'm planning on buying pullets that
I can pick up. The breeds I'm seriously considering are Isabel Cuckoo, Crele, Blue, Lavender, Black, and Lavender Cuckoo.
I already have a Black Astralorp, and may get a blue one also. Any
comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Baby Orpingtons that hatched over the end of the week.
