THE IMPOSSIBLE HATCH ALONG

!!!UPDATE!!!

I couldnt get a picture today because my flashlight was dead. Its day 9 and one chick is developing great. The other chick however is not. There is the developing embryo (chick one) and one that looks like it started.... but then stopped. But chick one is still growing strong!!! I'll do an update tomorrow with pictures!!

Any name suggestions for if chick one hatches?

I have a double yolk egg in the incubator now - shipped egg with green shell so hard to candle. It is on day 5. I have read there is a 1 in 1000 chance a double yolk egg will hatch, but it's worth a try right?

Haha yea. I've never thought of even trying to hatch one before until I got my incubator. Once I started breeding my chickens I realised how interesting the crosses looked, and they will all technically be easter eggers too. Our roo is a blue ameraucana, and the egg either came from our white leghorn, black sumatra, andalusian, or silver spangled Hamburg.
I'm willing to assist too as I've had many assisted hatched. I wont mind if I have to assist.

!!DAY TEN!!
Halfway there!!! So far every chick I've hatched, even though I've modified temp/humidity, hatch on day 20. Chick one is developing perfectly, but the dead embryo is just kinda floating around. The chick if it hatches will either be white leghorn, black Sumatra, or silver spangled Hamburg, all mixed with blue ameraucauna roo.

Sorry pictures aren't that good

!!!update!!!
Embryo is taking up so much space I could hardly get a good picture!!! Its day fourteen so just six more days to go until hatch!!! Air cell is continuing to grow correctly, and from what I've seen the dead embryo is partly stuck to the opposite side of the shell that the sliver one is on. I'm considering to stop turning a day or two early to keep each embryo on opposite sides. What do you guys think?
