The resiliency of hatching eggs never ceases to amaze me. I have 4 eggs under a broody. Late last night I got a strange feeling to check my chickens. I did and found that a more dominant hen had found her way into the nest box. 3 of the eggs were no longer under the hen and the poor thing was cowering in the corner of the coop. I picked them up and my heart dropped. The eggs were outside temperature 45 degrees. Well I didn't want to just give up so I took out the dominant hen and quickly put the eggs back under her. Well what I find incredible is that I candled them today and I saw noticeable movement in all of them!! Well I know they say don't count your chickens before they hatch. However, that movement still was so awesome to see. I just thought I'd share in case someone else has a similar occurrence so they might feel better and know it just might be ok anyways..
