The inevitable humidity question, day before lockdown, help please!

Yes, yes I want to see what color the egg is. This is another reason I'm kicking myself for getting rid of my BCM roo, I should have mated him back to his daughters for an even greener egg, ...... supposedly!!:D I guess if I mate my CCL roo with my BCMxCCL hens I stand a chance for a greener egg too???? Or not??
She was faking me out!! or she dropped a softie somewhere that got eaten.

Not sure about backcrossing......one thing I'm a bit disappointed about, the CCL blue isn't very strong and the BCMxCCL cross is more brownish than greenish...I'm thinkng backcrossing with BCM may give a darker egg.....how greenish it is remains to be seen.

The backcrosses I have now were BCM over an OE made from Wellsummer over pretty strong blue laying EE...we shall see, sooner I hope!

 (I never messed with egg color before getting these 2 breeds)

Some of it might be, but there's few folks there who are very good at explaining,
and some that are clueless(just like any other online group/forum).
Yeah, easy to join tho.

I'm with you sister! There have been some super folks on here who have posted quite long, involved descriptions of the ways that genetics in whatever breeds works and I find that my eyes glaze over and I want to lie down:rolleyes:. I'm the type that needs to see things happening, you know, pictures and stuff!!:D

She did it!!!.....Blue shell passed down, am pretty darn sure it's hers, haven't been watching today.
8 eggs today, highest count since mid august.
BCMxCCL color is fading.....after 36 eggs.
