Sounds fun! You should try it again! :)
i could, but i gave my trumpet to my brother to play when he was in band. i did enjoy messing around with it, but i can not read music and have no idea what any of the notes would be (its been like 5 or 6 years that i was in a band for school and that was like grade 8 or so lol)

Well, I had piano lessons and piano accordion lessons when I was a kid, and had more piano lessons as an adult. Now I'm doing guitar lessons.
I can't play anything :D
I do like listening to those who CAN play.

I played trumpet through high school as well. I was lead in the jazz band and soloist in marching band. Appeared in the Macy's day parade in 2000.

I fiddled around with it after high school but nothing serious. Ended up selling the horn, a Bach Stradivarius because I needed the money. That was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.

I have since picked up a student model Conn horn that my wife inherited and realized I can still play. I am hitting triple Cs without much strain now.

I am beginning to consider what horn I want to buy. It will be a horn capable of extreme register and power.

I play bass (have an Ibanez SR400QM 5 string in blue maple), trumpet (Yamaha, from a while ago, 10c and 14a4a mouthpieces. Yeah, marching band geek), and I sing. My chops aren't as good as they used to be for the trumpet, but I can still play it well enough. The bass is a hobby, I just love picking at it. I sing all the time. Just for me though anymore. It's not that I don't think I sound good, just happens to be that I do it more when I'm alone and working on things.

If money were no object, I'd want a pipe organ and a medieval cathedral to park it in.
