We have had baby chicks hatching constantly lately... i had my mom set some eggs for me and the ducks snuck some into their nests too. All the chicks are from my bantam cochins, frizzle, smooth and sizzles.
a couple weeks ago my mom had to bring a rooster out here because he was being mean to her tiny roo, it was right after i lost my frizzle and my sizzle roo is kinda...not smart. so i caught the mutt roo breeding my girls a couple times and figured i would have to pick out some mutt babies and sell them after they hatched.
well a couple days ago some were hatching and my mom happened to be over and i said, "hey come here, the homeliest little baby just hatched and it's from your rooster! look!"... he really was kinda funky, gamey-looking, lol. well now, 2 days later it is the most adorable "pure" Sizzle Cochin baby!!
