Sorry to hear that. I don't have cats so I cannot give much advice on acclimation...is just keeping cotton ball in his own room away from the cats an option? My bearded dragon is terrified of Niven so we had to figure out ways to keep them in different rooms.well my one cat just met the bun, they touched noses through the cage and I am pretty sure he thinks the bun is dinner, he is now crying outside of the bedroom... Not sure if this will work.
That's true! Why line the litter box? A layer of urine soaked paper at the bottom would be a pain to scrape off every time you clean the box.
I also would not recommend a covered box. More expensive, plus harder to clean and monitor. Also rabbits prefer to have more than one entrance/exit. A regular cat box works great. Chewy often has the best prices and selection, IMO.
Mine just have paper bedding and hay in them. I like it because I can just tip the whole thing into the compost and then refill with fresh. Easy peasy. That's true!
I've always seen people line it but I've never thought about it getting soaked.
I guess it depends on the rabbit but people use the hooded ones since it's like a hidey house. But yeah they definitely prefer ones will two or more entries.
I'm using an under the bed storage tub.
My husband and I will have to talk about it, we can keep the setup that we have in our room, but our room is tiny so it would be VERY tight. I am willing to do it, but I am not sure he would. We are looking for a home so hopefully soon we wll have much more space!Sorry to hear that.
