nope, thats the color of them. I thought they were molting at first too..but nope.. they arent losing feathers & Im getting about 8-10 eggs a week from them.

I agree, that stance looks a lot like a Runner. That coloring is really *different*. I'd be super curious to see what their offspring looked like. If they are mixes, those qualities might really come out down the line.

Caracou I think, my KC is sitting again for the 2nd time this year. She is now my best Mom in the flock, I no longer have the pair-of-Pekin-Moms that used to hold the title. Check out her pic on the Broody thread.

And I think Laura, 13 days ago or so, (sorry-I've been out of town) you posted the light KC duck. Mine looks exactly like that. Again, see her pic.

I should have one of their babies in the next week, I believe the first one is due to hatch on the 7th or 8th. I will post pictures when they hatch

They just started laying so I'm sure they wil get better once they work out all the kinks. They are the only ducks that were in the pen lastnight so I know it was theirs.
