dry grits and cream of wheat they will most likely eat including the chickens, I wonder if hot water and white vinegar mixed and poured on tho the hills would work.Ok folks, I was on the "Texas" thread bc I have stupid fire ants & carpenter ants by my duck house & pen. They had lots of "home remedies" safe for chickens, but I have ducks. Would those same remedies be safe for ducks too: cornstarch, cinnamon, plant mint/spearmint, dry grits/Cream of Wheat?![]()

Can anyone help me identify the breed of this brown duckling? I got him/her over the weekend at Tractor Supply with the mallard but cant remember what they said it was. I am thinking a KC but not sure. Also any guesses as to age? Thanks in advance!

I don't think so but would kind of defeat the purpose of killing the ants if the ducks eat it. lol I'd try the hot water as hot as you can get it with very strong white vinegar added and poured on the mounds in the holes.Wld the grits or C of W hurt the ducks?
