The khaki-Campbell duck Thread !!!!!!!!

We handled ours daily and it still hasn't quit freaking out. I think some of them just might be jumpy? I have a Pekin and a Swedish that are a year old now that we bought together as ducklings. Handled the same and everything, and the Swedish is very standoffish while the Pekin is almost like a dog and loves the attention.
We brought home 2 Indian Runners to join our KC ... they looked at each other chatted and 10 sec later ' dog pile" tomorrow we will cuddle with them all .. going to buy the meal worms for treats.

Today was our 6 wko KCs' first day out with our 20 wko ducks and 16 wko chickens. They have all been separated but could get nose to nose through the fence. I was worried for my baby KC's but it went very well. In fact, the KC's claimed the big kid pool and chased the others off. It was really funny to watch.

I'm assuming it's normal for them to stand stepping in their own feet since they're all doing it!! So silly!!

Hi everyone, I'm a completely new duck owner and loving it at the moment! I've recently got 4 ducks from a friend who was looking to offload their ducks from their newly purchased farm. I've established that the 2 white ones are definitely pekins but I'm having trouble identifying the breed of the brown ones. Can someone help me?? Thanks!
That looks like a welsh harlequins hen to me :)

Getting more KCs tomorrow...hoping to try them out in the general flock with an older KC(4 wks) as a guide, free ranging from the first day. Will provide a warmer they can return to when needed as the night temps will be dropping into the 40s this week. The older KC is currently leading a group of 4 RIR chicks around and I think she will do well for fostering/imprinting the younger ducks but it will remain to be seen if they can keep up with her and if they can forage right off the mark.

Should be interesting to see how they fare....anyone ever try this?
