The khaki-Campbell duck Thread !!!!!!!!

You should be able to tell soon. If a male/drake it will develop a darker head with the color extending down to about mid neck. If all the same color of brown/khaki then you probably have a female.

OK. Right now it appears to be one solid color, but I didn't know how long that took to change.

Been listening to my sweet quackers & I'm pretty sure i got 2 females & 2 males...maybe?! Lol I am positive that there are one of each & which one is which the other 2 are still a mystery at the moment lol. posting pics soon

Depending on their age the male will develop a quieter sort of raspy quack while the female will have a very definite and loud quack.

Sounds like you bred your own? That duckling description sounds like a Black Swedish. They are dark with yellow bibs when little.

Maybe it is a cross, but they actually had the Swedish MISidentified at the feed store as khakis. I told them, "You know, those aren't Khakis!"

Be interesting to see how they grow up.
