The khaki-Campbell duck Thread !!!!!!!!

She's pretty. Looks like you have a friend, lol. Mine are all scared of me, they're definitely more "livestock" and less pets.

Mine are livestock pets. Can't get near enough to pick them up (and they don't like to be held) but they don't mind me being around them especially when I am the bearer of treats or a full feeder. And they know their names.

My two Khakis are now 9 weeks old... I'm thinking both are girls but I don't know... anyone else have ideas? I think they both sound like girls. Not the best photos i know... Here's a short video of them enjoying their pool that I had just cleaned and refilled :) https://instagram.com/p/9hrXnXsfwy/?taken-by=kodaaussie
Looks like they both may be girls. Lucky you! Both my KC ended up being drakes. I actually just traded them for 2 Welsh Harlequin hens on Friday.

That fits pic could be a male given the size, shape of head and light(er) color bill... Until u hear him it should sound like (ww-EE-nk ww-EE-nk ww-EE-nk) If u get a quack for another month or so it's safe to assume you have a hen

Go on, Big Boy! I'm hoping I can coax one of the girls to sit on some eggs this spring and get up to 6 or 8 layers for next year.

I must say as much as these birds absolutely are terrified of me, they're very good about going in at night by themselves and since egg production started a couple weeks ago neither of these girls has missed a day. I'm really impressed with their productivity.

Also I have to say it again, putting them in running water was the best move I made this year. Changing tubs full of water for them when they were little was a real chore.

Mine go crazy over dadelion weeds, chickweed, dock and what i call sourweed. I give them spring greens mix from Sams, spinach, they LOVE peas, corn. And lots of clover. They will push my chickens out of the way to get to the greens. Also love plain warm cooked oatmeal. Hilarious!
