I usually only give them when I really mean it. I think it’s a completely useless reaction and honestly don’t think it’s worth having on the site. I’ve argued to replace it with a “dislike” which I feel like could actually be super useful (especially on misinformative posts) but the idea was shot down

I tend to only do it when I'm serious or in a particularly joking mood. People tend to know if I use it something's up
I actually prefer using the "sad" reaction if there's something about a post I don't like or disagree with. And if someone just said something plain stupid I laugh
