Personality: Heard of knight in shining armor? That would be a very uncommon descriptor of knights of the day. Rather, they were rude and stuck up and used their title to take advantage of people or brutalize them and get away with it. That is a perfect description of Sir Crusty.
The two-faced brute is cruel to commoners but is always gentle with the ladies, with something you might call “chivalry.”
Description: Handsome young boy. The lavender gene causes his feathers to appear quite brittle, which is where the “Crusty” comes in. Unclothed except for a green hat, he resembles Robin Hood quite a lot. However, he scorns the bird of literature and his ideals.

Description: Ziggy is a grey and white striped boy, with bright yellow legs, a fully black beak, and bright orange eyes. He has a broad chest, and a magnificent single comb that flops over to one side gently due to the sheer size of it. His tail is quite short, his adult tail feathers not having come in yet.

Have you ever read Till We Have faces by C.S. Lewis? This kind of reminds me of the main character.
