The reason I asked about the polish, is because my wife has decided that she wants a Silver Polish hen or two. Hey, I think if this will help her get over her fear of chickens, I'm all for it! Her main concern is over a mean rooster. Her dad had a mean rooster and wouldn't get rid of it.

Wow, thanks for the coffee! I am really enjoying it today.

I bought some polish chicks last year at an auction. I got a frantic call when I was at work - my daughter decided it would be a great idea to play with the chicks on the living room floor. Well, we have 4 dogs, and you can imagine how that went. I honestly didn't really blame the dogs because that was the first time they saw chicks, and my daughter and her friend were 8 at the time. So anyway, the other day my dogs were outside and one of my RIR hens chased after them! Too funny! Now the dogs run from the chickens!

Anyway, I think it's great that she wants to try chickens. I can understand her being afraid after being around a mean rooster. But so many of my co-workers ask if my chickens are mean and if I'm afraid of them.

I think a lot of people do think that chickens are mean as a whole.

Oh well, I've got to get up from the table and go out and tend to the chicks. Have a great day, everyone!

Ugh, the weather is foggy and drizzly here this morning. Makes me want to crawl back into bed with another pot of coffee.

Anyone else have no ambition whatsoever?
