Just got home from work. I need to clean the house and tend to the chickens, but I thought I'd stop by first.

I hate to admit it in this crowd, but I am a serious morning person. I get up at 5 for my job, but cannot sleep late, even on the weekends. When I was a stay-at-home mom, I still got up at 7am, and that was sleeping in. I got up once at 4am this week, and my alarm wasn't due to go off for an hour. That's just me.

Ditto on the weather though, if the weather is sucky then I might as well stay in bed coz I'm just THAT useless.

Today I got the roof put back on my chicken tractor and reinforced a couple of weak places so hopefully it's predator proof now. I used to use it as a daytime run so it didn't have to be raccoon proofed, but now I'm keeping baby chicks in it 24/7 so I thought I'd beef it up a notch or two.
Then I had to replace my front brake pads. The second one was a pain in the rear, and we (my FIL and me) didn't finish because it got dark on us. NOW I gotta get up early in the morning to hammer that last caliper pin back in in the daylight, then wash up before work coz brake dust is the pits. Sigh, no staying up late for me tonight.
