The Kitchen Table - come sit with us! new request added to post 1!

Cool. Sounds like your summer has been fun, especially the North Carolina part!

I'm aiming to lose 20 pounds by Christmas, so... yeah.

Many years ago I had a women call me to inquire if I could build her a pergola. She said she had called numerous carpenters and no one could do it. I had no idea what one was but before I could answer she tells me she has a picture of what she would like hers to look like. I told my son that I was going to go see a potential customer about building a pergola and he also had no idea what one was, but when I told him the customer had a picture his reply was "we can do it easy". Wound up being 20'x40' and lead to many more jobs for her and her neighbors.

mine was not nearly so large, just 7x10-ish. It was one of my easier projects. I'll post a pic later, but right now, I'm off to the Opera!

I honestly do not know how to ride a bike, but I've been taking mile-long walks.

Note #35 - What is the one thing you still want to do before the summer is over?

Well, my summer is officially over, I went back to work Thursday.
I was able to take my pony to the beach 3 times over the summer. That was fun!
I also worked at the high school for the month of July, just 3-4 hours a day, feeding 50 students.
Played with my grandkids.

DH just left for Washington state. My FIL is not doing well at all.

Its been foggy pretty much all summer, normal for here. We should get some warmer weather come September.

Hi Boo! Sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope everything goes okay there.

So, even though you're back to school, is there something else you'll try to do before the calendar turns to fall? Any good Labor Day plans?

Today, I'm going to a friend's birthday party, and I'm going to mess around with Open Office. What are your plans?

There's a Peddler's Fair downtown. It's for people to sell their arts&crafts and antiques. We already have a lot of antique shops, but this gets really crazy fun! I'll go down there with a friend for a couple of hours.

This morning, I'm spray painting a cafe table and chairs to go in my new pergola. :)

Plus, I need to spend time with my new Barnevelders. They are soooo shy!

eta - what's Open Office?

oh, and here's a pic of my pergola!

Uuu, craft fairs! When Grandpa comes to live with us, we're going to go to the Santa Fe market and sell paintings and quilts.

Sounds like fun! Oh, and Open Office is... I'm not exactly sure.

Dad wants me to keep track of my eggs on there, so I guess it's kinda like a spreadsheet/power point/document thingie?
