The Lair....Quilt Central...Woman Cave-New Projects in Progress!

Quilting in progress. Working on the outer border now and have one side done. Have a family dinner tomorrow and have to make a lemon pound cake today so may not get it finished until next week. I plan to sell this one-could be a table topper or with a sleeve added, a wallhanging. It's around 32" square +/-.

I'm really not sure how much at the moment. What do you hand quilters think? I'm not as good as some of those Amish quilters whose quilts sell for thousands of dollars, but I do a pretty good stitch still, if I do say so myself.

Thanks! I'm almost finished with the binding now. Guess I could add a sleeve to the back for hanging and sell as either wallhanging or table topper. Just not really sure how much.

Thousands of Bolts is having a fabulous sale right now, ladies! Huge discounts, looks like.

It's finished. Weird lighting in the house makes it look like the gold/yellow in the checkerboard is all different shades, but it isn't.

speckledhen I love the color combo! Anyone done anything with the black/red/white strips? I haven't touched them because I am still working on the other blocks and had to stop that to crochet towel toppers for Christmas gifts.

Quilting a bed runner now. Picked the colors from a wild floral print that was going to be the border, but then realized that fabric was a polyester blend and too flimsy to use with sturdy cottons, so it comes off a more "in your face" colorful than it would with a floral border to tone it down. I will use the dark red with gold stars fabric as the binding that you see in some of the strips in the runner. The blocks of strips go red-blue-purple-gold-turquoise, then repeat. Ole!
