Luka shook his head at the men who were failing. He turned back in that direction, growing sharp ice from his hands. He cut the plants that surrounded her with ease, then grabbed her two arms, numbing her muscles with cold. He motioned for the chloroform to be given to him, and brought it to her face, smiling as she grew drowsy.

Jade stared at him as soon as he grabbed her arms. She groaned at the intense cold before he brought one of those pads to her face "Please, don't" She said before the stuff could knock her out.

Luka looked at her with a pang of regret. He didn't understand why he usually didn't seem to care but she had barely struggled. She had just tried to grow some plants to protect herself. She seemed innocent and scared, unlike his other adversaries. He whispered softly "I'm sorry." As she fell asleep in his hold, he ordered the men to open the back door of the grocery store so he could hold her himself. He didn't trust her with them.

One of them, John Maxley, laughed, remarking "He does have a soft side."

The other henchmen chuckled but did as Luka said, opening the doors for him to exit.

Luka carried her out and into the large van which doors were open. He laid her softly down on her back on the van floor, as he decided to sit against a wall as the men closed the doors and drove off.

Victoria rolled her eyes once more,"No one walks around with a piece of black fabric on there hand, unless they're hurt,"She pointed out.

Nico growled in frustration as she caught on to his lie. "Fine. I'll admit, my hand got burned." He said with shrug, trying to make the burn seem not as bad as it really was.

Simon laughed along with her, he was enjoying himself. Normally his life was just about getting money, but now he realized that having friends could be worth it as well. He walked out of the forest with her, sighing as they neared the house. "Well, there has to be an end to everything." he sighed.

Star caught sight of the house and let's out a small disappointed sigh "I suppose that's true, well it was nice to go out and get ice cream with you, good to have a change of pace once and awhile" she replies as they make their way towards the mage house's door

When she first found out she has almost killed Josiah many times but he still has stayed loyal by her side.
