Jade huffed then sighed "That's what Ara said to get me to leave my home. Seems it's safer there than anywhere else, at least I wasn't getting taken from one place to another with so much strangeness going on around me." She said then sat up and looked to him again "I just want to go back home, not be involved in your war. You can keep this city too for all I care."

Luka looked at her with sadness. He paused, struggling for words, before explaining "Your friend, Ara it was. She lied. She never meant it was safe out there. They all want to kill you and me." He pulled out his phone and showed her a video of a fire mage being drowned by the AMS. When she had seen it, he said quietly "I knew her. She didn't deserve that." He stopped staring at the wall and turned to face her, stating calmly "It's safe here for you." He shook his head with scorn, full of emotions "But they're going to try to shape you. Control you. And I don't want that to happen to you so I'm going to stay near you as much as I can." He felt bad for her, she didn't deserve all of this. Luka promised "No would will hurt you if I'm around you. I'm one of the most if not the most powerful here. And I can help you become more powerful too."

Danny looked a little shocked but happy "Well good, I'm usually bad at this stuff"

Lilith shook her head, commenting with a little smile "You're good at it don't worry. Thanks." She paused, before replying "Want to talk more in my room where there aren't kids playing all the time.", eyeing some of the mages outside and inside.

Elena looked up at the woman who had entered the area. "No I am not Jade, I am Elena." She said as a matter of fact, she kept her face serene in expression. She looked at this new comer for a moment curiously before she used her magic to lift a rock and fling it towards Ara face.

Ara dodged and frowned at Elena, finding a stream of water close enough, she called on it to douse the other girl. "Yeah, we both have powers. Look, my friend disappeared from the grocery store when we stopped to get supplies."

I never used my powers to fight I don't know how to do that, all I have done is survive with them." She said, on the verge of tears.

Luka felt a rage of emotions flow through him. He felt hatred for the pathetic humans who tried to stop the mages, and also anger for the mages who complied to their ways. He felt confusion whether he wanted to stay or leave, and he felt compassion for Jade. Luka replied with a soothing voice "There is a group named AMS who murders our kind." He added, as he brushed his hand against her cheek, purposely making it a bit cold, "And I'll help you learn how to fight, in case you might need it."

Nico growled at the persistent souls and finally agreed, "Fine. I'll go outside." He said in a mocking tone of voice. He opened the door and walked outside, "I'll be outside if anyone needs me." He shouted without looking in the house and waved his hand. He closed the door silently, then flipped his hood over his head. As he walked towards the forest, he curiously looked at the potted plants running alongside the house. He brushed his hand against the pedals of a flower and the plant immediately died (is that possible for a death mage??), wincing as he did so, he left his hands in his pockets for the rest of the walk. He looked around, making sure nobody was on the street to see him kill the tiny flower and sighed with relief as he saw nobody. Nico carefully made his way into the woods and came across two other people (@Nariah01 and @StarrNico).

Lincoln fixed her with a steely glare, "I don't HAVE to do anything." He said firmly moving behind the desk to sit down again. He opened up a folder that he had with certain details in it. "Alright we will give you a chance to prove your usefulness. If you fail to impress you will be out, if you succeed then you will have a permanent position here with all that comes with it. Until you are off probation you will remain on the premise, you will be given a room to stay in which should be sufficient. Here is all the details you need make yourself comfortable, I will let you know when I have an assignment suitable to your talents." He stood and handed her a packet in a folder. It had a map with directions around the complex as well as the key to her room, and other bits and pieces of information.

Sabrina looked in surprise at all the things Lincoln was giving her. "Deal," she said. She stood up. "Is that all I need to know?"
