The Legbar Thread!

redchicken are you selling hatching eggs then? Several new club members in CA have been asking me where they can get some, and I didn't know where to send them. TheSheriff is out right now (sold all her old stock that were recessive white carriers) while she waits for her new batch to grow out (she just got the NEW LINE chicks from GFF). She was the only one I knew of in CA that had a regular supply. But if you are selling too I will start sending people your way if you are interested. Man we really need to get the details figured out on the breeder/club member list.

Rinda

R - I've been sending people to their Regional Directors. Is that ok?

Thanks Rinda. Yes, I have eggs. So go ahead you can send them my way.

I currently have about 3 dozen eggs a week, so I am little fry. This is the only poultry product I sell. I do not do eBay, just an ad here at BYC in Buy/Sell Chicken Hatching Eggs.

My eggs are gathered daily and dated and labeled A or B, so you know how fresh they are and from what line they come from. My two lines are maintained separately for genetic diversity. Both are free range. One is behind moveable electric poultry fencing with a chicken tractor in a small orchard, the others are completely free range. I get see them on the porch daily and occasionally in the garage! No, they are not allowed in the garage.

As it is I have a dozen fresh fertile eggs March 22 or younger available, could ship tomorrow. Will sell for less than usual, as tomorrow is the last day I will ship these.

Dang it I do sound like an egg salesman! Apologies. Short answer, yes I do sell eggs.

Hi, thanks for the question. I sent you a PM. I sent 2 dozen eggs to Florida last month (18 purchased, plus 6 spares). 19 made it to lock-down. 18 hatched with an even split, so I know my eggs are shipping well and fertile. My chickens are in great health.

Hmm, What else can I say?

Just to say it, I like dogs better than cats, but my cats are terrific with the chicks. Here's a blue laced red wyandotte chick taking down my cat last year (he's got his back-up buddies in the background). This is the exact order I snapped these 3 pictures. Click on them to see them enlarged, it's pretty funny.
