Here are some pics of my cream legbars eggs. I tried to get the blue color to show up the best i could. So far i have gotten 5 eggs in one weeks time. the first egg i got was huge the rest are med. size.

Nice!! love the pics. Just wondering how greenfire ships their chicks in such cold weather. Where they shipped with a heat pack? Are the holes of the chick box covered? Thanks

I was wondering the same thing since I have some chicks on order, too. How many did you order?

I ordered 6 but they sent 9. All of the holes but two were covered and there was a couple of heat packs under the straw. However, two were dead and two others were sluggish. As soon as I got home I put them in my incubator for a couple of hours and they perked right up. Also, they were shipped out yesterday evening around 5pm and I picked them up at 830 which is only about a 16 hour time period. If I had it to do again I would wait until warmer weather. I guess if you timed it right it would be better. The weather here was in the 20s - 30s last night. But none the less, I am still glad to have them! I can't wait to order another exciting breed from Greenfire!

Oooh good idea about putting them in the incubator.....

Well heck, my boys are fighting. Will add more girls to their pen help with that? Right now it is just the 2 roos and 2 hens. I have some Marans I plan to put in there with them.

They need a lot more girls. Light breeds should have 10 or more hens per roo.
2 for 2 and they're bound to fight. Too much activity will also strip the girls bald.

I either keep the roosters in their own flock or put one with each group of hens.

The 3rd bloodline is available?! I've got a credit with GF and was trying to figure out how to use it, that would be perfect! I have the red banded and green banded. DaisyJack-mine arrived just a few weeks ago, no heat pack, most of the holes covered (all but 6) and express shipping. There was 19 chicks in the box which probably helped keep them warm.
