The Legbar Thread!

Maybe it will just have a HUGE crest? 

It is a pure Legbar... If I look close, I can almost see through it.. Like a blister. When he was first born, it looked like if he bumped it, it could pop. Now he has peach fuzz on it. He get around fine.

Here is a pict of my female today: He comb is just now doing some serious growing. How big will the comb get? anyone out there (in here) have some examples of their female legbars full grown combs?



Her coif is looking pretty --- Jackie-O today isn't it?

I was just going to post pictures of my White Legbar Rooster. IMO he is absolutely beautiful. Not a speck of color on him. Can't wait to see him all grown up and mature.

That little boy is a busy body. He is everywhere and usually with the 2 Delawares in there. Trouble makers I tell ya.

I look at my Cream Legbar rooster and try to imagine a White Legbar rooster. I can't wait.

Do you wonder if Cream Legbars go broody?

Meet my 4 and a half month old Cream Legbar girl. She is brooding two Cream Legbars babies I put in with them when they were 3 days old. You can see one of her babies peeking out at the bottom of this picture.



Here's her second baby. She's a good little Mama. She was growling an biting my hand when I was trying to get her to lift up so I could see her babies.



The little white roo is an Icelandic. Here is a picture I took with my camera on some weird setting. I kinda like it. It's artsy.

Miss Molly, I don't know a thing about your chick and the blister, but it seems like there are some threads on here to look at. Maybe it will get re-absorbed. Other than that looks like a cute and healthy chick!

Your pullet is gorgeous....mine has a funny tail - I think she lost a middle feather so it is split. I will get a future picture, because I suspect it will be like that for a loooooong time.

Sheriff - How great that cream legbars will be broody. I LOVE your artsy picture. I want your camera, and I want that setting. ;O) -
