The Legbar Thread!

The Jaer's might not be a good fit for you then. Stick with the bigger breeds. One owner said that they would always fly up to greet him when he was in the yard and perch on his shoulders and arms. Not your typical chicken. :)

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the new arrivals. I also have some chicks coming in a few weeks from madamwlf. It has been a long road, but so worth it. I have met some wonderful people along the way and learned so much. Even had a chance to share some basic chicken knowledge with the fella at the PO. He did not understand why I was having birds shipped in from all the way across the country when I could just get chicks at the feed store. lol So I did some brief explaining and come to find out he thought only "real" chickens laid white eggs. Hoping to take individual pictures of them tomorrow along with pictures of my birds I hatched from Cindylee on ebay just to show everyone the difference....it is striking to say the least.

Happy Day everyone! Life is good.

the flying part scares me lol. I have a hard enough time keeping my icelandic's out of the trees. Very wooded and forested where I live.

I had no trouble with my Icelandic until I did a coop swap. Now I have to get them out of the redwood tree EVERY night.:/ I'm becoming really good at climbing that tree in the dark.. LOL
