Haven't I heard that Pendeseca's lay the darkest eggs of all? Your picture is a very good looking bird.
They can lay really dark eggs. My birds are young. 5 months so they will fill in shortly . They can be flighty but crele are less than the other varieties. The comb can get large ( king comb style.)Haven't I heard that Pendeseca's lay the darkest eggs of all? Your picture is a very good looking bird.
So- cream legbar - yellow beak and legs while Pendeseca has grey? Pendeseca, no crest, and .....also a more tall and slim bird, right? Coloring very similar and wattles and comb smaller..or at least the wattles. How old is your rooster? Is it true that Pendesecas are very very 'flighty'? I just read the Breed description here on BYC.
Now I wonder if there is some relation back in their background since Pendeseca are also said to be autosexing. Thanks for the post.
I know it has been a while since I said I would post some pictures of my juveniles that I hatched from CindyLee's ebay eggs. Well here they are...so glad I have 4 really good looking ones from Richard and some others on their way soon from Madamwlf. These are just a crazy looking bunch. These 6 all hatched from a batch of 8 eggs she shipped to me. They hatched on Father's Day and these pictures were taken a few days ago, so they are roughly 12 weeks old in these pictures.
This is the first girl...I call her Robin...I don't think I have a picture of her straight on, but you can see how dark her breast is...You can see why I named her Robin.
This is the second girl. She is nameless.
This is boy 1.
This is boy 2, you can see he is very dark, with a long tail for 12 weeks. He is very friendly, and his beetle shine is gorgeous in the sun...too bad he looks nothing like he is supposed too.
This is boy #3. He is mostly black and white.
This is boy #4, as you can see he has more red and gold showing through and again has a long tail and funky crest. He kinda looks like a devil in this pic, but he is really sweet too.
So this was an expensive little lesson for me. I have talked to a few other people on Ebay that have hatched her eggs and they all claim that theirs look "correct." But I really if people are not following any of these boards do they even know what "correct" means and who has the right version of correct anyway? LOL Regardless, none of these are anywhere near great. The girls will go to my laying flock and I am not sure what will happen to the boys. I really love them, but they can't be bred, so who knows. A few of them are quite striking and might just get to hang around for eye candy. The others might get to grow for a few more months and then go to Camp Kenmore.
You may want to message her with pic's if she is a reputable breeder she will send you more as there was a mix up I am sure. where all the eggs you got blue tinted?I know it has been a while since I said I would post some pictures of my juveniles that I hatched from CindyLee's ebay eggs.
