Takinu's ears pricked, listening past the normal sounds of the savannah. She glanced downward and saw pawprints stained with blood. They're weakened. Perfect.

Stella rested her head on the grass and closed her eyes sleepily.

Takinu glanced back towards the other lionesses. "Circle the rogues so escape is impossible." she whispered and flicked her ears in a gesture.

Kappa's tail swung slightly, hanging from a limb in a tree.

Takinu flattened herself and crept closer, her shoulder blades poking up sharply in her skin. She could hear the rogues' breathing and saw shapes moving in the grass.
