Chirping
It has been 4 long years trying to convince my husband that we should have chickens. He still objected this year, but I decided I wanted to get them anyways. Guess who is just as interested in watching the chicken behavior...
Anyways, on to the feathery cast.
Up front is Midnight, my australorp and standing behind her is Embry, my larger black copper maran.
Zebe is a barred rock and she knows food already. She is the queen bee.
Little sweet Angel, my smaller easter egger) is the bottom of the totem pole. She is definitely the shyest of the gang.
Coco (also a BCM), on the other hand, is a bold little girl (please be a girl) who was the first to figure out that the ground wasn't toxic to stand on. She's as small as Angel and toward the bottom of the rankings.
This is Angel again (see the size difference) and my other EE, Hawkeye. Hawkeye is second in command and was the first to shove her head into the less mess feeder.
These ladies have only been here a few days and it is amazing how fast you can really see their personalities come out. They've gone from being afraid of their own shadows and thinking the great outdoors is a scary place to flying out in the morning anxious to see what is going on.
