THE LOUDNESS!!

lol I was always told that guineas were LOUD with the chee chee alarm but HA I never believed anyone about it so I bought 5 guinea chicks and put them under a broody Easter egger hen and within a matter of 30 mins 2 of them were GONE! so there was three well needless to say I am not down to 1 and I belvie he is a boy because he always chases the hens around because he has been seeking protection by hideing under the roosters all his life and picked up a few things! lol but just a week ago he began doing his guinea alarm at anything and everything that moves!!!!! ha Im not posting this to figure out how to stop it im just posting just to vent lol I think its kinda funny!!! im kinda thankful I don't have 5 guineas doing it!!!

Too many guineas. I think mine is a male too. Its makes this Oreo-Oreo high pitched sound.

lol oh fantastic . My neighbor has guineas in a large pen attached to a shed in the shade . Once in awhile she forgets to close it correctly and they wind up in my yard where they are most welcomed .

I have a pond , they drink and hang out by it , when the peacocks come to eat they leave . I think the groups do not care for each other .

I find the guinea fowl beautiful birds .

I have 11 guineas and they can get loud at times as well, but I am hoping to expand my flock this spring.

I would absolutely LOVE that! They are the funniest birds to watch. We had three of them (lost one to a mink :'( and they are all bell trained. Whenever my husband or I ring our little bell they come directly up to us looking for treats.
