*The Lovely And The Ugly* A wild Chicken RP 2

"I just wanted to be a mommy too," Daffy cried quietly to herself. She kept walking away from her broken egg.
Web looked back at Ruby sadly, then spoke to Daffy. "Daffy, I'm not a mommy either, I never have been. So you know what I do? I take care of everyone, I make sure everyone has love. And I make sure that the chicks in the clearing don't hear the curse words that some new-laying hens use." Web shook her head, thinking of Fang.

Rain panted. Her body pushed one, two, three more times before the pressure suddenly lessened and she felt a hot egg bump into her foot.
She looked down as it dried, admiring the color. It was a pretty peachy pink with white speckles.
"Fang!" she said. "Isn't it pretty?"
Fang stared. "Wow, that was fast. Look, yours is pink! Absolutely gorgeous. " Then in a more secretive tone, "Do you think any roosters would think it's pretty??"

Rain's comb flushed red. "Fang! Shhh. No, not really....why, do you know any?" She said, giggling.

Fang tilted her head, thinking hard. "Actually, no." Fang had been hoping Rain had something- or someone in mind for the both of them. "It's okay, though," said Fang, cheering up. We've just barely started laying. No way a rooster's going to want to father chicks if my eggs don't even know how to be real eggs." Fang thought of the abnormally small egg. She had taken it deep into the forest, and buried it. She didn't know why she was so ashamed, but she was!

Ruby followed Daffy. "Daffy." She called out trying to stop her.

Daffy turned around to face them. Her face mirrored how she was feeling inside- heartbroken. "I don't want to take care of anyone else. I just wanted to get a chick. A little chick that looked like me, and that would be my baby," she said depressed.

"My egg is tiny, too. That's how they're meant to be! Pullets lay tiny eggs." Said Rain.
