Hey, y'all! Checking with you one last time before I put them on Craigslist or sell to strangers. I have about 10 buff silkie pullets I need to sell to thin out their pen. Five of them are show quality. The other five have black in their topknots or wings tips. They are shaped great, just have that dark color fault. All are super sweet and docile. At least half of them are currently broody. Sigh. All are laying when they are not determinedly sitting on eggs. :) There is a rooster in there with them, so at least for a bit all will lay fertile eggs. This rooster is lighter, so he may fix the color faults in the offspring of the darker hens. I haven't done a hatch yet with this boy, so I don't know for sure. PM me if you are interested. Some have expressed an interest in certain birds already and have been waiting on more pictures. My life has sort of turned upside down and getting those pictures is proving hard to do. If you are still interested, pick a couple of the ones you like best and let's just meet up so you can check them out in person. At this point that would be easier. [/quoSent pm

I think they are just mixed but I don't care they are pretty. I had to put them in with my big chickens cause my other bantams are both laying on eggs and I didn't want to stress them out plus I just painted the other bantam coop today so it has to dry..

Fancy bantams get a fancy lime green coop..

Well, a week after my kids lost their dog to a fool who was dumping their garbage down my road. Who did stop and only sped up when I tried to slow them down, so she wouldn't run over my kids on their bikes, chickens or my dog. Dog stopped in the wrong spot and they just kept on driving. We now have a new puppy. I'm hoping it makes the kids not so sad. The mom is an AKC reg Aussie shep dad an AKC reg Mt.Curd. Which made a cute free mutt with a docked tail. It was an opps litter. From a family near Dunlap,TN. She is only 8-9 weeks old and already spent the night in the crate with no accidents. It took me a year to break the corgi that we lost last week. So, here's hoping it goes well and she don't eat my chickens lol.

On a chicken note. Today is hatch day for my OE Ducky. I'll do a clean out tonight and see what I have! So far it looks like I will have pullets to sell this fall! And roosters too. Why do we always have too many roosters and not enough hens!
