Got our first eggs today! Our best guess is that it was our little Welsummer and either the Light Brahma or the Blue Cochin. I found the in a nest scratched out of the pine bark in the run. Do I need to do anything to encourage them to use their boxes?

Congrats! I would guess the wellie hasn't started, unless you get a much darker egg. Sometimes it takes a few eggs to get their "sprayers" working properly though.

Goose and fig shoot! I work straight 24 hr.days fri-tues,so cant meet as u come my way....the sebastopols r sooo gentle n amazingly friendly for geese....maybe next time I can get some babies from u...

Fig, I can't wait to get my ANCONA & WELSH HARLEQUIN from you! When will they start breeding again? Do you think you will have more colors in the Ancona next time? How much do you sell your geese for?
If you want to try your hand at hatching eggs, you can get some in this fall maybe.
The reason I have to keep the colored babies is so I have some myself. I have mostly blacks now myself, and I really want more blue and some silver.
If you really want them now- I would suggest Worth it Farms in Atlanta. I think they ship. They have all colors and

Geese pricing depends on the bird and its age. I might have a couple to sell/ swap this fall- have to see what we end up with.

Sorry, Angelak!

Would you like a breeding trio of Olive eggers? I have Americana/Maran Olive eggers and I am only going to keep two girls no roos. One of them should start to lay by August. The younger by September. They are about 3 weeks apart.
This is Chicken Little because everything scares her but she if very sweet.

This one is much calmer and is who Little runs to when she is scared. I haven't really named her. The glow of my screen makes them look bluer than they are. They are actually charcoal gray with black lacing in sunlight.

She has just about lost all the baby white on her throat now. These are from almost 3 weeks ago.

This is Peregrine because he is colored like that kind of hawk and has a noble bearing.

He is a quiet kind roo. Always respectful of the others i.e. not pushy or shovey or running over the top of anyone. He hasn't crowed yet.

I have two other roos one is just mean and will be going in the freezer. The other is black and is the same age as Chicken Little. I haven't named him either. I'd take $25 for the trio.
Beautiful birds but I cant handle any more at this time. I have nine and live on a little shy of 1/3 acre lot. I do one day want both EE and OE but cant do it now. I so much appreciate the offer!
