Off subject, but have I mentioned that the Marans I got off you keep laying Double-yolks?

It's the darker-legged cuckoo Marans. I'm getting at least 2 a week. My Barred Rock does every 10-12 eggs like clockwork, and they're vying for top hen.

OH a cuckoo! Yeah those eggs are BIG anyway LOL. I don't know if I get double yolkers in the BR either.... I don't eat many eggs from the farm. LOL.

They're beautiful birds! I ended up selling my EE because I couldn't break her from eating eggs no matter what I did. You could watch her lay, turn around and start pecking into them :/ if we ever move to a bigger property I will have to get some more from you.

I will have some Lavender/Lav Splits and Blacks maybe in the summer. I have some growing out now and not really sure what genders I have of each color.

@Citygirlinthecountry might have some.... I think she has blues. She might jump in here soon.

Yup. I'll have blue and splash later in the season. I sold the last of my pullets a couple of weeks ago.
I am ready for spring. I'm itching to fire up the bator again.
