So catching a peacock is like catching a ninja on meth lol. Didn't catch any of them the other day I did get my second batch of 50 silver sebrights yesterday. The wife also let me go to tractor supply unsupervised and I got 7 silkies lol. I have broke the 100 chickens I think it's time for rehab.....

No we are not offering eggs, we are still growing out our breeding stock.
They are the oldest chicken breed in Russia, in the early 1990's they went nearly extinct, there was only 2 Rooster known of in the world and one of them was infertile. They are believed to be where our other crested breeds such as Polish, Barthuners and Brabanters came from. They are virtually unknown of outside of Russia and they are very cold hardy.

Organic feed in Murfreesboro!!! Rutherford County Farmers Co-op has Mannapro organic layer pellets! I cant tell you how happy this makes me. It's insanely expensive at $12 for a 10lb bag but I bought 2 to encourage them to keep it in stock.

Sorry I can't bring any chickens no time to get them together..... next week. I am going to start CULLING pens Like CRAZY! Too many people what chickens.

Question: How many chickens would safely fit in a 5ftx9ft coop (probably 9-10 ft ceiling) with 2 roosting areas (both 9ft long) and/or in a run 12ftx24ft (6-7ft tall)?

I am breeding/buying chickens and I dont want to get too many.

Can you get too many? I have about 4x4 coop chickens just lay eggs in it and sleep in it. 2 roost poles on one side and nest box on the other. I have between 4-14 birds in there. The runs are 4 by 13-14 feet. IDEALLY I would have no more than 5 birds in each pen. They do fine even the ones with more.... we just have to CLEAN them more often when they are FULL.

Chickens really only sleep in the coop. they are in the run most of the day. SO if you hold true the rule of 10 sft of run per bird you could have 30 in the run maybe more. Your roost space is not enough for that many birds might need to add another pole. 1 ft per bird but really they snuggle up more so maybe 8 inches would do ok too.

I have 2 9ft roosting poles and 8 chickens that all huddle together in maybe a 4 ft section on one and 3 ft section on the other.
And no I couldnt have too many but I dont have room for any more coop space unless i tear a wall out (which I'll probably do eventually).

It also depends what breeds you are buying. You can fit more Silkies in that area than you could English Orpingtons.
