Question for everybody - anyone in the Columbia, Franklin, Lewisburg area have any eggs for sale? Looking most for very dark brown egg, blue eggs and olive colored eggs. I am actually going to have a car tomorrow and I am off so I can pick some up.

poor guy! Depending on how many guineas you want you can always get them from a hatchery. But I think the lowest minimum order I have seen so far is 15.

I think Donna Rippy is going to have some guinea keets soon. She is in the Dickson/Ashland City area.

If I get a bigger place without restrictions against pigs I would want a couple of minis just to turn my compost heap. They are also good at eating Japanese beetle grubs and eating snakes. For a couple of years I "had" some when someone dumped a juvinal pair near by and they wandered onto my mini farm. The city tried to make me get rid of them but I told them I wasn't feeding them and they were not tame enough to catch. They were welcome to try but I had tried (the sow had been bitten by a dog) and could not do it. All was well and the poisonous snake population dwindled until my lush of a neighbor tamed them even after I warned him if he did the city would make him get rid of them right off. Silly man. As soon as he had them tamed they were knocking on his door.

There is a BYC member (guy) in Cookville that has them. There is also a lady who is not BYC who is going to be at the Bantam Show in Dickson on the 26th. She has single combs. I am drawing a blank I will check my PMs and get you his name in a couple of hours. My ride just showed up so I will have to get back to you.
