Anyone know a place that does necropsy here?
All I know is the vet I took my sick pullet to sent it off for me, the exam and sending it off only cost me $25 which I thought was worth it because I wanted to know. Dr. Jennifer Hatcher on Arno Road off 840, her phone number is 368-7873….you can call them and ask where they sent Sophie.

Thank you all for the kind words & prayers. He was not KIA, but at home on Us soil. My family is holding firm in our faith in GOD. Through his grace we will get through this.
So sorry Troy. Nothing could be worse than losing a child. Remember his smile and the good times and keep those in your heart always. God and family will be your refuge, hang on tightly to both.

So Troy.... I don't know what that could be.

I just had two hatchery chicks sure on me with the strangest thing going on. I was introduced to something called 'wry' neck. It is a vitamin e difficiency. I didn't get them saved because I didn't catch it in time, but they aren't able to holds up their heads and they tuck under funny. They couldn't way or drink well and died.

With the keets it was a new waterers. They tend to drown so I tried something different and it didn't work.
oh okay. I put marbles in mine for everything. I've always been afraid they would drown.

Kord lab in Nashville will do poultry for free. They prefer to take in sick-almost-dead birds over already-dead ones- they can get more info to help your flock that way. I think you can take them there yourself but you may need to call your vet first and use them as a reference.

What is the coherence generally speaking, between sizzle and frizzle?

Sizzle are crosses between silkies and frizzled bantam cochins. Frizzles are usually considered frizzled bantam cochins, but there are frizzled Polish and some other breeds. We have frizzled Polish and frizzled Easter Eggers. Also, not all sizzles are frizzled. Some do no inherit the frizzled gene and are smooth.
