The Middle Tennessee Thread

Got a good surprise yesterday when I discovered our Sumatra hen is actually a rooster! And that we have a breeding pair of Golden Campines! We ordered ours from Meyers back in Feb as the rare breed assortment and they are just now reaching the age of being able to look and see what they are. Still unsure about 2 of the breeds but the hens and roos and sorted.

100% English Orpington chicks for sell!!

I have 2 trios of Lavender and Black Split to lavender English Orpington chicks for sell, these chicks 8 weeks old. The males are pure lavender and the females are blacks that carry the lavender gene!

They are breeding quality birds and will produce beautiful lavender babies! I am asking $100 per trio

I also have 8 beautiful Black 100% English Orpingtons from my BBS breeding stock! These chicks are 15 weeks old and will begin to lay in late August!

They are breeding quality and I would use them myself but I am trying to reduce the amount of blacks that I keep in my breeding pens. I am asking $85 per trio and $65 per pair or $225 for all 8

I can't ship the birds so they are pick-up only. We can meet in any of the surrounding areas but we won't drive long distances to deliver these birds.

We are located in eastern Middle TN. If you are interested in any of these birds please message me here, E-mail me at [email protected] or Call us at (931) 808-1167 (No text please!!)

Does anyone know how much Oxine I would put in a 50 gal rain barrel to keep the green slime from growing in it.

Thanks in advance Elizabet

Reg oxine I would thing a couple of ounces. Keep in mind oxine will evaporate in the sun. You have to keep it covered an in a container light can't get to it. You might think about painting it black so the algae can't grow. It grows because of the sun light.
