It is also the time of year when they slow down. I have 14 in one pen and if I am lucky I get 2-3 eggs. They will start molting soon too. How old are they?

I have some eggs do to hatch tonight from the blues!!!!!! I have a red roo over the blues!!! I'm waiting till my black roo get mature and then I'll build my blue flock!! so excited!

When I bought them they were 10 months and I have had them going on 6 weeks. They were laying when we bought them.

Well that's good to know. I have been pulling my hair out waiting on them. Each day I wake up just knowing today is the day, but NOPE!

What breed are they?  I find some breeds are just BAD layers.  I have some CCL that have not laid in about 3 months and it has nothing to do with moving them either.  They are pullets too.   Wyandottes don't lay well for long.  I don't have issues with moving birds and not getting eggs for MONTHS.  Never has happened.  Weeks yes but months NO.   I am just now getting eggs from Troy's birds after their move but some didn't have much light where they were housed. 

Yes the two are cream legbars :-( We wanted blue eggs.

Yes the two are cream legbars :-( We wanted blue eggs.

I had terrible luck with Cream Legbars too...hens started laying at about 6 months of age, were not very good layers, then quit laying at 11 months of age and never laid another egg again!
