All of my Silkies go broody (and my Sizzles and other mixes). Some of them only sit once a year, a couple of them spend all spring and summer sitting and hatching, but they all do it

When they all start laying I should have around 20 or so layers. I can't wait!! Your baby's are so cute! Good luck. My last hatch I did an experiment and picked out only the "round" eggs from my hens to hatch. And low and behold. Everyone of them turned out to be a pullet!!

What percentage of silkies go broody? Do all of the hens? I really like the home picture on the site!
All of my buffs are super broody. Silly girls. Thankfully they go in waves so I get some eggs out of them occasionally. My show line are better at sitting than raising. The hatchery silkies I had originally were better at raising chicks than sitting. All of them wanted to hatch though.
