Morning everyone! Wow, I have lots of stuff to catch up on here on the thread this morning.
It is really cold here this morning (around 20-21), but thank goodness the wind is not up. It's so much easier to get things done when your face is not frozen, LOL!
Holly, Nisa (your little silver Ameraucana girl) finally started laying yesterday. It was a loooong narrow egg, but a lovely shade of blue. Here's a shot of her egg (left) next to Mija's egg (my enormous EE girl). Too bad cameras just can't capture that nice blue, but it seemed to capture the mint green of the big egg. . .
And here's my egg delivery for my neighbor - - bantam Ameraucanas, bantam cochins, silkies, and my big ol' EE hen represented here:
In two months I will be drowning in eggs, even from my small flock.
Okla-DD, I would love to go to Elkton if you are still available. I'll take another look at the weather here in a minute. As long as it's not nasty Sat (like it will be today!) I'm game. I'll PM you. Oh, and I was sure to feed the wild birds this morning.
Tisha, thank you for telling us about your Granny. I am wishing her much love and a swift Journey . . . and sending thoughts of peace to your family.
emmalynn, let's see some pics of your little peeps when you get a chance! Congrats on your hatch.
FarmerVal, what kind of incubator did you get? . . . and what will you fill it with???
CITYGIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're back!! Buon giorno!!! Yay!!! Now we have to have another lunch so you can tell us all about your trip. Watch the weather today, as it might be nasty coming home. . . and WELCOME BACK!!!
