The Middle Tennessee Thread

Donna here is the standard for blue taken from Alan Stanford's site. She should be much darker! I really do not care I love her color and have gotten several positive comments from others on this lighter shade. I do plan to breed her but only after spring show season next year.

Blue Silkie Bantams (Bearded and Non-Bearded)

Plumage Male and Female
Blue:
Head: Glossy Black
Neck: Hackle- an even shade of clear bluish slate, distinctly laced with glossy black. Front of Neck -- same as breast
Back: Back and Saddle- an even shade of clear bluish state, each feather distinctly laced with glossy black.
Tail: an even shade of bluish slate, each feather distinctly laced with glossy black.
Wings: Bluish slate.
Breast: An even shade of clear bluish slate, each feather having a sharply defined lacing of black.
Body and Fluff: Clear bluish slate.
Legs: An even shade of clear bluish slate, each feather having a sharply defined lacing of black.
Undercolor of All Sections: Bluish Slate
 
hi folks, im from north central ky. and looking for a trio of lavender ameracuanas. dont want them shipped,would be willing to drive a few hrs to pick up. if you guys know of any one down your way please let me know. thank you
 
Our mini hatch is going great so far!!
One Silvery Black Easter Egger and one Buff Ameraucana hatched so far....There are 3 more eggs in the hatcher...6:30 PM tonight was the 21 day mark in hourly increments!!!

There are few things more satisfying then watching your eggs hatch and become cute little fluffballs!!!

Why am I not surprised? LOL We'll have a chance to visit a bit that day. There are a few coming up from Alabama too. This should be almost as much fun as the Nationals were.
