I love the Birchen color I have a so so trio growing out right now. No you would not want to breed the BCM to Cuckoo you would just get a mess that would take many generations to breed true and you would still be getting gold leakage popping up.

My Birchens come from Doug in LaVergne. They have some cream in the saddle but are pretty nice. I am going to work with them anyway. I know they came fom Bev originally but I think you have to say they are Greenfire Farms Line, they have been breeding them for a while.

I think my rooster needs a few more ladies to spread the love around... Does anyone have older pullets or young hens available? If so, please PM me with what you have and how much you're asking for them. I'd like at least 2 but up to 5, all standards.

Looks nice...BUT...I have best results keeping my humidity in the 30's and I target 50 % for lock down. No full formed chicks in shell after the hatch at these levels for me.

That's about what I do too, I up my humidity a little more at lockdown 60%, and then it zooms up when they hatch. Actually I don't even watch the humidity in lockdown. I have it up and that is all that matters to me. The number does not seem to matter as much in lockdown. It is the first 18 days that really count.
